Looking back at 2024
As we step into 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the past year and acknowledge the contributions of everyone who has engaged with our platform and supported both artists and the wider art community.
A New Exhibition Space at Via Vika
We opened a new exhibition space at Via Vika, which became a venue for exhibitions and events in collaboration with artists and partners. Highlights included Vingespenn by Lars Gangdal and the group exhibition Wildstyle, showcasing works by Gunvor Nervold Antonsen, Sebastian Helling, Mari Kjøll, Mikael Hegnar, Bill Billekvist, Jan Christensen, Katharina Barbosa, Morten Viskum, Sara Lovise Ask Ewertson and Jon Merz.
Inspiring Studio Visits and Artist Recommendations
We had the privilege of visiting the studios of Nellie Jonsson, Kristin Sæterdal, Tammo Rist, Helene Knoop, Solveig Bergeneog Espen Iden, who also shared their recommendations for other artists. Additionally, artists and art enthusiasts like Kiyoshi Yamamoto, Manuel Portioli, Christina Skreiberg, Marthe Kampen, contributed their recommendations, and altogether, over 50 recommendations were shared in this year’s Art Calendar.
Launching Art Subscriptions for Businesses
This year marked the launch of our art subscription service for businesses, designed to create more inspiring and dynamic workplaces. Art doesn’t just enhance the aesthetics of an office; studies show it can also boost productivity, reduce stress, and improve employee satisfaction. Strengthening Our Team
We welcomed Björn Lapakko as our Chief Commercial Officer and Laura-Anne Morrison as our art advisor. Their expertise enhances our ability to promote art and increase visibility for artists.
Building New Partnerships
This year, we established new collaborations with Mesh Community and EVIGR, while continuing our valuable partnerships with Oslo Open, B-open, Open Studios Stavanger, and Trondheim Open.
Looking Ahead to 2025
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to making the art community vibrant and dynamic in 2024! In 2025, we will continue to focus on art mediation, art rental for businesses, and collaborations to make art more accessible to a wider audience and further strengthen the art community.
We look forward to another exciting year ahead!
