This work features an egg placed on top of the panel in a small indentation.

The horrors of war are often described as a brutal and material reality, and the hope for a peaceful future as something fleeting, like a dream or an idea. Something to be created, as opposed to the violence that exists in the natural state. But in this work, the egg, a symbol of hope and potential, is placed outside the image and, thus, in my interpretation, outside the realm of language. The pointed shape, reminiscent of a missile or a bullet, dominates the pictorial field and is expressed as a sign. Perhaps hope instead belongs to materiality, involuntarily in the body, even if only as a struggle for survival. And violence, on the other hand, is an act of language, something that is consciously chosen.

Byste i grønnkrystall

These woven works were created for the exhibition in Palanga, Lithuania. They are inspired not by specific houses, but by my childhood impressions of the city — a mix of wonder, mystery, and the sense of buildings that were both alive and abandoned. I was fascinated by how nature slowly covered them, as if time tried to conceal the past. The works capture these memories as fragments of atmosphere and emotion, rather than literal depictions.

"-utstillingen har blitt til i denne pandemi tiden som rene refleksjoner. Utstillingen er skisser fra 2021 malt opp som malerier i 2022. Jeg ville at skissene skulle få bli originaler i sin rette form, og det er derfor gjengitt så oppriktig som mulig uten å være låst til å kopiere.
Utstillingen bestod av 135 arbeider.

Dette er en videreføring av utstillingen "dette går aldri over" fra januar 2022 sammen med AceOslo.
