This is a modern depiction of Godzilla. I made this basd on an original sketch I made. During childhood this was one of my favourite monsters. I had many toys and games depicting it and I watched the movies countless times. With this painting I wanted to create an avergae of Godzilla. Much like if you close your eyes and hear its name, this is supposed to be the image your mind conjures up.

This is one of the most complex paintings Ive ever made. The title referres to a group of cyclists and the painting represents the circus and cacaphony of the sport seen from an outsiders point of view.  The 15 and a half cyclists featured in the painting is a reference to the top 15 cyclists who get points when finishing a heat in Tour de france. I knew next to nothing about the sport before starting this painting, which meant I had to spend a lot of time doing research and preliminary sketches. While planning the painting I also learnt about copyright laws and read some articles about the Tour de France photographers being particularly pedantic about artists using their photos for reference. Subsequently I took a different approach to the painting process and manually changed every suit in the painting to a different one than was in the reference picture of each cyclist. It took a lot of time, but im happy with the result. The painting also features an uncanny digtial aesthetic. Notice for intance how there are no casted shadows from the cyclists, neither onto the ground or onto each other. Some of the cyclists dont even have bikes, one is going through the ground and another is in the air. The background is also not very fitting as a setting. By doing this I wanted to reflect on how we as humans accept visual stimuli and information without really questioning it.

Figther of the streets is a homage to the fighting games I idolised as a kid, in particular Street figther. I say idolised becasue I wasnt allowed to play them as a child. As an adult I do not find them particularly entertaining, but I still love the aesthetic: the extreme machochism, the exaggerated muscles, the ludicrousness of what they are able to do and survive. The painting is based on a handdrawn sketch I made while thinking about one of the characters from street fighter. I wanted the painting to represent what people think of when they think street fighter without actually being anything directly from the game. The background is inspired by a different fighting game called Virtua Fighter.

Chrome Tan borrows a visual aesthetic from Hajime Sorayama and pays homage to the exaggerated masculinity of the wild west mythos.
 This is an original Oil painting.

Skeleton crew represent one of the 7 american horror creatures, which ironically lives inside us all: a skeleton. The painting plays with feelings of nostalgia, a digital aesthetic reminiscent of early 2000s video games and contrasts between flat and deep surfaces. 
The three hooded dog represent the mythical creature Cerberus from Greek mythology.

This is a print based on an original oil painting from 2023. The original painting was sold a week after completion at the annual exhibition Høstensjøutstillingen. The painting borrows aesthetics from Hajime Sorayama and Terminator but mixes this with a Napoleonic composition to create a modern wild west mythos.

Sunset Drive is a modern fantasy, a hymn and a homage to the Miami Beach of the 80s. It is implied that much like the viewer feels sentimental to the pastgone era, so are the charaters involved imitating or cosplaying a decade in which they probably never lived. The motorbike, shoes and sunglasses dates the setting of the painting in recent times, meaning the couple are too young to have experienced the glorious 80s.

I made this painting as a tribute to one of my favourite cars of all time the Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM. As a child of the 90s I had several toy versions of this car. It was only as an adult that I actually started to learn about the car and its infamous history. The wobble effect in the painting acts a symbol of how ones fantasies blurs and obscurres reality while also creating associations to hot tarmac.

This painting is part of an irregular diptych with the other part being called "The face of Joy". When first exhibited it was displayed on either side of another large painting called "Peloton" thus forming an and alter like composition and an association to medieval idol paintings. The face of sorrow is a portrait of Lance Armstrong after one of his many falsly achieved victories. I wanted the background to be a perfect shade of blue to reflect his metiuclously crafted perfect appearance. The painting is in stark contrast with its counterpart.
