Oil on canvas I made this painting as a tribute to one of my favourite cars of all time the Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM. As a child of the 90s I had several toy versions of this car. It was only as an adult that I actually started to learn about the car and its infamous history. The wobble effect in the painting acts a symbol of how ones fantasies blurs and obscurres reality while also creating associations to hot tarmac.
