Airbrush with Acrylic paint Figther of the streets is a homage to the fighting games I idolised as a kid, in particular Street figther. I say idolised becasue I wasnt allowed to play them as a child. As an adult I do not find them particularly entertaining, but I still love the aesthetic: the extreme machochism, the exaggerated muscles, the ludicrousness of what they are able to do and survive. The painting is based on a handdrawn sketch I made while thinking about one of the characters from street fighter. I wanted the painting to represent what people think of when they think street fighter without actually being anything directly from the game. The background is inspired by a different fighting game called Virtua Fighter.
