Open Studios Stavanger & Sandnes 2024
In the thriving art communities of Stavanger and Sandnes, Open Studios Stavanger Sandnes (OSS) invites visitors to step inside the creative spaces of professional artists across the region 28. & 29. of September. Atelie is a proud partner with OSS, supporting our mission to make art more accessible and strengthen the connection between artists and the public.
First launched in 2023, OSS was initiated by artists based in the atelier houses of Tou Atelierhus and ELEFANT in Stavanger, alongside Stasjon K in Sandnes. The event opens the doors to local artists' studios, giving visitors a rare glimpse into the creative process.
OSS allows visitors to experience firsthand how artists develop their concepts, experiment with materials, and bring their ideas to life through finished artworks. Each studio offers its own distinctive atmosphere, filled with works in progress, sketches, and completed pieces, providing an authentic window into contemporary art creation.
Atelie’s collaboration with OSS is rooted in our commitment to supporting local artists and fostering deeper public engagement with contemporary art. Our digital platform extends this experience by promoting participating artists before, during, and after the event, ensuring these creators receive sustained visibility and recognition.
Some of the artists with an Atelie profile you can visit on this year's event includes, Vibeke Andersen, Inger Bruun, Liv Eiene, Elin Gabrielsen, Anette Gellein, Anne Haaland Bland, Mona Orstad Hansen, Kristin Holm Dybvig, Liv Krekke Kaada, Tove Kommedal, Yvette Lardinois, Julia Mordvinova Gilje, Nils-Thomas Økland, Elin Reboli Melberg and Signe Christine Urdal.
