This artwork is created with handmade soft pastels on 300g cold pressed paper. It needs the protection of glass. It ships flat or it can be picked up in my studio. As evening falls, the stillness of sea and sky fosters a sense of peaceful solitude, inviting quiet reflection. The color palette is subdued and dreamlike, evoking a quiet, introspective mood. I’m moulding the landscape, sculpting it with my fingers and leaving enough pigments behind to build hills and valleys as I move over the paper. I’m bulding the shadows with many colours, layering them, one on top of the other to make the darkness richer.
