This small pastel is one of three drawings I made over the same theme; The flavour of summer. Summer comes with sweet treats and tasty berries. My all time favourite is strawberries with cream. They taste heavenly. Its a real treat to enjoy the delicious bright red juicy berries outside on a warm summer afternoon. In this pastel drawing, I explore the interplay between abstraction and impressionism, where soft, flowing lines merge with bold, vivid colours. These elements evoke a sensation of movement and emotion, capturing a lively dance of forms on a warm backdrop. I intended to convey feelings of joy and energy, ensuring that this piece radiates a vivid vibrancy into any living space. Materials used: Handmade soft pastels on cotton paper with a thin layer of fixative as finish. This artwork is framed floating in a white wooden frame with art glass.
