Hva ville en stol sagt hvis den kunne snakke? Kan vi lære noe av en forlatt sandal eller en hullete sokk? Er det noe her i verden som er helt objektivt, og ville det ikke være naturlig å spørre et objekt om nettopp dét? I OBJECTIVITY er det brødsmulenes, smørknivenes, tubaenes, benkenes og mursteinsveggenes tid til å tale! Men hvem er det egentlig de snakker til? Og på hvilket språk? Er det simpelthen umulig å rømme fra menneskets altomfattende selvopptatthet? Vår tendens til å liksom speile oss i ethvert støvfnugg… Tingene, deres funksjoner og historie, kan nok fortelle oss mye om menneskelige behov og tilbøyeligheter – uansett om de faktisk kan snakke eller ei. Jo Mikkel Sjaastad Huse (f. 1991, Oslo) er utdannet ved kunstakademiene i Oslo, Bergen og Stockholm, og arbeider flermedialt med spørsmål om arbeid og fritid; dyr og objekter; og lyd og språk. Jo Mikkel driver mikroforlaget Publishing Publishing Nordic, er del av samarbeidsprosjektet PUBLIC RETREAT og technobandet (OoO) Objektorientert Ontologi. Jo Mikkel works in a variety of media with questions about work vs leisure; animals and objects; and sound and language. JM runs the tiny publishing house Publishing Publishing Nordic, is a part of the collaborative project PUBLIC RETREAT and the ontological techno band (OoO) Object-oriented Ontology.
