Textile work /  hand sewn.  Background fabric dyed with turmeric and framing of the piece made with silver thread

The Egg Map

Hand sewn textile work. Natural cotton fabric coloured with water color, fabric paint and illustrated with ink. Shiny fabric pieces are hand stitched on the textile along with small embroidery works. The work is framed with thick silver thread around it.

Drawing with ink on papyrus paper. This work is inspired from "Gobeklitepe" neolithic archaeological site in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey where my family is from.
