 Watercolor on paper. The is a corner of the garden with a ‘pool’ that was once used by Arnold Haukeland when he lived here to cool down on hot days. Now its mostly used to keep palm fronds for garden compost.

This collection of artifacts was shown in the Oslo Natural History Museum, in an exhibition titled 'Nature in distress - threats to the world's biodiversity'. While I was drawing this I listened to the audiobook reading of Silent Spring. Original drawing 3150 nok, digital prints 2150 nok.


Trompe l'oeil

Every two weeks I pick up an order of produce grown by local farmers. These beautiful radishes were part of the order. My favorite cafe and people watching spot. This to go cup with the Java logo is iconic in the neighborhood. I wanted to capture the moment that the drink is finished, the money paid, and the cup transforms into something discarded. Colored pencil on paper. I painted this from a photo I took this summer. Ive walked past this building many times and in different light and shadows the face of the goddess above the door can seem protective or menacing, just as it was intended to do. Love and protect your neighbors. 

Neighborhood Watch

We’ve been on so many road trips in this car and met so many people who relate to it and tell us their stories. It is still used as a taxi in Morocco and Lebanon.
