This acrylic painting, on stretched cotton canvas from Riiser, is one of a series of 10 that is concerned with grief, an emotion that can take a variety of forms. Then, my work took a different direction when spring arrived with a bird singing in the tree outside my studio window, and a ray of sunlight hitting the canvas I was painting on.
