Collage on Canvas "Under My Skin" is part of a series about idiomatic expression. While typically associated with annoyance, I deliberately chose this expression for its ability to evoke a sense of provocation and obsession. Inspired by Bronzino's "An Allegory with Venus and Cupid," a striking example of Mannerist art known for its ability to captivate and incite viewers, I sought to provoke a reaction by juxtaposing contrasting skins in my work. To accomplish this, I exclusively utilized images of skins and bodies found in photographs and reproductions of paintings.
