ESPINA is a Photobook made during an artist residency in Valparaíso, Chile. This publication portrays the street, focusing on fences as a tense limitation between what's private and public. Observing how walls and barbed wire merge with local spiked vegetation, I reflect on how aggressive aspects of these barriers have a unique beauty that provokes nostalgia and positive emotional responses in me. RISO printed in 4-colours and hand-bound in an edition of 50 copies.
