Atelie Studio: professional tools for your art practice
Atelie Studio is here. A complete set of professional tools for your art practice: inventory, CRM, invoicing, payment links, and follower broadcasts. Open and free for every artist on Atelie until 15 June 2026.
Atelie has always been built for artists, a platform where artists can present and sell their work to collectors in a curated environment.
The last year we've worked on several updates on the platform, including completely new tools for artists.
We're now introducing Atelie Studio, built around one simple idea: to give artists better tools, more control, and stronger earning potential, while continuing to grow the platform together.
Inventory, collectors, sales, invoices, exhibitions, CV. Studio has been live in pieces as we've built it. Today it's complete enough to call it a launch.
This is an expansion, not a shift. You can keep using Atelie exactly as before, or choose to upgrade for more tools and a lower commission.
What's in it
The tools, grouped by what they actually help you do:
Knowing your work. An inventory of every artwork you've uploaded, with prices, dimensions, status, and history. Collections let you group works into curated selections, like a series, a solo show, or a price range. Your CV lives in Studio too, with PDF import, inline editing, and a public toggle.
Knowing your people. Contacts is your own CRM for collectors, buyers, and followers. You can filter, sort, and add people manually. Once a month, you can send a broadcast to everyone who follows you on Atelie. Like a newsletter, but to people who chose to hear from you specifically.
Getting paid. Payment links and invoices for direct sales, commissions, and special orders. Sales tracks completed transactions from checkout, invoices, and links in one feed. Stripe handles payouts straight to your bank account.
Showing up. Exhibitions you add to your profile now appear on the Atelie map alongside other shows that month. Certificates of authenticity are available for any artwork you've sold. Your profile, bio, and business details stay editable from the same place.
What it costs, what stays free
We made a deliberate choice: the core of Atelie stays free.
FREE. 0 NOK/month, 30% commission. Profile, artwork uploads, sales, direct messages with collectors, Stripe payouts. Everything you need to actually sell.
BASIC. 75 NOK/month, 15% commission. Adds analytics, bids from collectors, commission requests, exhibitions, rental visibility, CV import and export.
STUDIO. 95 NOK/month (launch offer), 15% commission. Adds CRM and contacts, invoicing, payment links, follower broadcasts, collections, PDF export, certificate of authenticity, exhibitions on the map.
STUDIO+. 295 NOK/month, coming later this year. Adds a website builder, personal onboarding, Fiken integration, and an AI-assisted application writer.
The grace period
Atelie Studio is open to every artist on Atelie right now, free of charge, with 15% commission for everyone, until 15 June 2026. No card, no commitment, nothing to choose today.
You can log in, try the tools that look useful, and decide later. We'd rather you actually use Studio for a few weeks than pick a plan blind.
What happens on 15 June
The paywall goes live. Two paths:
If you've picked a plan (BASIC, STUDIO, or started a STUDIO trial), you keep 15% commission and the tools you chose.
If you haven't picked anything, your account moves to FREE. Commission becomes 30%, and the professional tools become gated. Your work, profile, collectors, history, and messages all stay exactly as they are. Nothing disappears.
You can switch plans later, anytime.
After 15 June, there will be a STUDIO launch offer at 95 NOK/month for a limited time, with a 14-day trial.
Why we built it this way
Atelie has been free for artists since 2017. We've built Studio with a lot of input from the artists already on the platform, and the result is a set of tools that exist because artists asked for them.
The subscriptions fund continued development of Atelie Studio, marketing and partnerships that bring more collectors to the platform, and the things we haven't built yet: integrated shipping, better sales flows, new ways to show your work. Every artist benefits.
What to do today
Nothing, if you don't want to. The next month is yours to explore.
If you do want to take a look:
The subscription page where you actually pick a plan goes live in early June. Until then, all the tools are open.
If anything is unclear, or you have feedback on what should come next, reply to the announcement email or write to christian@atelie.art. I read every reply.
