As a viewer, you are placed in the control room, surrounded by technology. You look out at an unknown world, with the technology available around you. Maybe it can help you further, maybe not. Your point of view is the point where the journey starts, where the sky, horizon, planets, and sea lie before you. You have tools and technology with you, the hallmark of mankind. I have made drawings with pencil, eraser, collages, and various software. Reuse and quotations of my earlier sketches are mixed with new elements and inspiration taken from Gerhard Munthes work about the legend of Åsmund Frægdajeva. Through several previous works, technology has a central place in my artistry. Examples are The Control Room, Space Debris, The Mothership, Surveillance and No Signal. A central question for me is whether people can manage to use technology to solve the problems we are facing in the world today, or if technology runs amok and takes over.
