Linn Cecilie Ulvin (b.1969) is educated at the Oslo National Academy of Art, Skrivekunstakademiet in Hordaland, and The Desmond Jones School of physical Theatre. Ulvin has written the novels Closer To Love and The Sky Behind Is Exhaustingly Blue, published by Tiden Norsk Forlag, Norway. Selected recent solo projects include; Metanoia Night performance, commissioned for the the public project Women on the Shelf/The Municipality of Bergen, exhibitions at Hå gamle prestegård, Kunstplass Contemporary art Oslo and Tegnerforbundet, Oslo, Norway. A selection of curated exhibitions and projects where Ulvin has been represented is Kunsthall Stavanger, Lillehammer Kunstmuseum, Kunstnernes Hus, The Museum of Cultural History, The Drammen Museum, Norway. Internationally Ulvin has been represented at Gallery Knapper, Sweden, Art Fair Suomi, Helsinki, and as part of The Book Lovers Project Ulvin at Cricoteca, Krakow, Poland, Fabra i Coats – Barcelona Contemporary Art Centre, Spain, De Appel Arts Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands, EFA in NYC and M HKA Museum Of Contemporary Art, Antwerp, Netherlands. Ulvin has done public art commissions at Spongdal School and Sports Hall in Trondheim and at Bjørnsveen Secondary School in Gjøvik. A selection of curations include: SAMMENomGATA (2019-2022) programme for temporary art in Oslo, It is an Art to Become Human, public art project, Kolbotn outside Oslo and Å PARADIS- Strategies on The Nordic Queer, exhibition and seminars at Kunstplass Contemorary Art and The House of Literature in Oslo. Ulvin has her origin in physical theatre, and started as a director, actor, and playwright with performance -and theatre productions in Kompaniet Panterbiffene (1991-1998).
